At NMTI, coursework includes Swedish massage therapy, neuromuscular massage therapy, reflexology, Shiatsu, and sports massage. Our curriculum also covers anatomy and physiology, and ethics and professionalism. After completing coursework, students are eligible to test for state licensure via the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). NMTI offers NCBTMB test preparation to all enrolled students and graduates.

Accreditation and Memberships
National Massage Therapy Institute is accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). ABHES is a private, non-profit, independent accrediting agency. Its mission is to enhance the quality of education and training and promote institutional and programmatic accountability. ABHES is the only agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as both an institutional and specialized accreditor focusing on healthcare education and training.
NMTI is also a member of the American Massage Therapy Association and the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals. NMTI is certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.

NMTI’s Massage Therapy program is 900 hours.
This program qualifies students to sit for the National Certification Exam in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCETMB).
